Returns to Carnegie Hall!

The Allentown Band has been invited to perform the Showcase Concert for the New York International Music Festival presented by World Projects at Carnegie Hall, NYC on Tuesday, April 16th.

Internationally acclaimed Dutch composer Johan de Meij will conduct his own composition "Pennsylvania Faux Songs,' which was commissioned by the Allentown Band for its 190th Anniversary and premiered by the band under the composer's direction on the band's birthday, July 4, 2018. . The descriptive one-movement suite contains five "Folk Songs Pennsylvanians forgot to write" including - "On the Banks of the Susquehanna River," "Girl form Allegheny," "The Gettysburg March,"  "Punxsutawney Groundhog Waltz" and "Allentown Jig."

Round-trip Charter Bus service from the Allentown Fairgrounds and tickets for the concert is available on a limited basis for those wishing to attend.
